Custom Millworker

We are looking for a specialist in making custom components within our specialty millwork projects. If you have strong experience in high quality specialty woodworking, this position may be a great fit for you! This position is for our Beachley Millwork division located in Smithsburg, MD.


Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Cut, shape, and assemble specialty wood items with hand tools, shop tools and equipment such as planers, jointers, shapers, routers, sanders, and various power saws.
  2. Prepare and assemble wood components for specialty jobs such as:
  • Radius Desk Assemblies
  • Radius Moudlings
  • Doors and Sash
  • Historical Restoration Millwork
  1. Design and construct special jigs and fixtures for processing one-of-a-kind jobs.
  2. Read and interpret plans, sketches, and shop drawings for milling and fabrication.
  3. Comfortable with building custom units used in Tenant fit outs.
  4. Competent in fabrication methods using plastic laminates and veneers.

Human Resources Coordinator


The Human Resources Coordinator partners with the respective business units to implement and administer HR programs in a variety of areas including onboarding, employee relations, compensation, team engagement, performance management, talent development, and employee retention. As a department of one this position requires a “self-starter” attitude to be able to take a concept and run with it. The ideal candidate will be a highly driven individual with the ability to be able to connect with individuals across all aspects of the company.


Essential Functions:

  • Maintains department records, employee files, and reports in a consistent and organized manner.
  • Conducts recruitment efforts for all exempt, non-exempt and temporary workers.
  • Administers benefit plans, including enrollments, changes and terminations. Processes required documents through payroll and benefit providers to ensure accurate record-keeping and proper deductions.
  • Monitors time keeping system to ensure appropriate payroll submissions.
  • Promotes a positive work environment and ensures employee relations issues are effectively addressed in a timely manner, while minimizing organizational risk.
  • Creates, implements, and oversees processes and procedures, to support and ensure legal compliance for all requirements and regulations related to all areas of Human Resources.
  • Provides guidance and coaching to help foster employee development and looks for opportunities to improve communication and training.
  • Owns the performance development process. Ensures frequent ongoing feedback is occurring within all levels of the organization.
  • Coordinates training for the company workforce including but not limited to legal compliance, policy changes, coaching, performance development and employee relations.
  • Participates in community initiatives to develop Beachley’s employment brand.
  • Complies with federal, state, and local legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation; anticipating legislation; enforcing adherence to requirements; and advising management on needed actions.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Possesses high standards of ethical behavior, confidentiality, professionalism, and objectivity.
  • Skillful in listening and ascertaining the needs and concerns of people.
  • Knowledge of compensation, performance management, and employee engagement preferred.
  • Functional knowledge and experience in employee relations, and conflict resolution.
  • Demonstrated ability to make informed decisions based on data and statistics and to work independently and follow through on assignments with minimal direction.
  • Requires a high level of accuracy with ability to organize and maintain proprietary files and records.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office - Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook.
